Some transgender people "pass" better than others. It's not just transgender people who have their gender challenged either, it happens plenty to anyone that appears gender ambiguous.
Bullies latch onto any and all perceived insecurity and take advantage of it, in this case it had profoundly unpleasant consequences.
Why are you trying to turn the assault into bullying / an LGBT hate crime? I know MacRumors PRSI is obsessed with the issue, but there's no evidence for it.

Oh well... It's obvious it was a mistake. I'm glad they're getting a refund. Let's just hope that Apple doesn't screw the developer over on it (ie. take out their 30% cut and then expect the developer to foot the $1000 refund) like they did when they pulled GV Mobile from the App Store.

lol If you think about it, she mostly bashes AT&T, just as Verizon did with their ads about the iPhone. Which makes sense because they both wanted the iPhone, so they wouldn't bash the phone directly. It looks like the tactic worked for Verizon, and it looks like it's headed that way for T-Mobile one way or another too lol :D
This bit of news is ironic because I just happened to cancel my T-Mobile contract to switch over to AT&T for the iPhone (old phone's broken so I couldn't just wait lol). And I know of AT&T buying T-Mobile, I've been hearing that it'll take till next year before they get it really moving

I agree with Dave on this one. It's saying you can't have the OS installed on VM as well as a standalone machine. It's no more restrictive than the XP licensing.
Only difference is the VM part is EXPLICIT, instead of IMPLIED.
You could only have XP installed on 1 machine at any time.

I can say that when Parallels has its VM Flags set to VM Cache as the primary caching logic, its disk speed is near native, but OS X apps slow down dramatically. Change that to Mac OS X primary caching logic and the VM's disk access slows down noticeably, but not horribly.

I'll delete all the music that I've purchased via iTunes that will be available on the cloud, yes.
I wouldn't delete it. Local storage is so cheap that you'd be almost foolish to not have a local physical backup.
Personally, I wouldn't store my music in the cloud. I would back it up and stream it from the cloud, but it wouldn't be my only copy. Call me paranoid, but I like backups.

That really is disheartening. I used iCal for years in school, and now that I'm starting my own practice I've got the entire office scheduling through iCal. I guess ugliness won't be a good reason to switch to something else... and I'll hold out hope that Apple makes this "feature" optional before Lion is released. Unlikely, though, I'd guess.

Those are companies people don't get attached to. Apple and other tech companies are a much more personal choice, generally. It probably also helps because those people are excited that Apple is making more money, allowing them to deliver more new and innovative products then would be possible with lower cash flow.

Apple isn't pumping most of the profits back int the company or paying it out to shareholders. It's sitting in the bank. Or maybe they have something unimaginably huge in mind and I guess that is a possibility.
Are you suggesting that they are handling their money poorly or that they are making poor business decisions? That would be contrary to the evidence. As an investor, I've been very pleased with their decisions.
If I were speaking only as a consumer, I'm pleased with their decisions because I enjoy their products.

Really really ugly. It is bad enough on the iPad, but yikes, this takes the cake.

I'm sure Apple knows of the hurdles AT&T needs to overcome to buyout Tmobile, why take the chance of not releasing an iPhone and then the buyout doesn't go through? There won't be iPhone 5!
It will be the launch of the White iPhone 4 to fall in line with the White iPad 2!
With an A5 chip and called the iPhone 4S! That's it ready for iOS 5 then we'll see the major spec bump next year! (iphone5)
iPad 2 got bad cams because of the thinness bull if they stick an 8mp cam in the new iPhone in a few months I'll be **** as they could of stuck the 5mp ones in iPad 2 and fattened it up 1mm!

Apple cares very deeply about their product, which is why they don't give in to every spec junkie who demands the latest and greatest immediately. The current chips don't give a usable battery life in Apple's eyes. You miss the point. I did not investigate the details about the number of chips. Not everyone cares. The point here is that there many people who want LTE and the there is Apple with their "single phone fits all" strategy. Here is a piece of relevant information for you from Information Week:
"In its recently quarterly earnings report, Verizon Wireless noted that more than 500,000 customers signed up for LTE services and/or devices during its most recent quarter. Add that to the 65,000 who signed up in December, and Verizon has about 565,000 people using its next-generation wireless network. At this rate, Verizon may have more than 2 million 4G users by the end of the year.
Of the 500,000 who signed up for 4G services this quarter, more than half (260,000) chose a 4G phone--the HTC Thunderbolt--that went on sale in mid-March. It scored a significant number of customers in its first two weeks of availability. That means between January 1 and March 15, about 240,000 people purchased other 4G devices, such as USB modems."
As you can see 260K people bought HTC Thunderbolt since Verizon started selling them (about a month). This translates to about 3 million phones annually. Clearly the demand is there. Also, you keep forgetting that other phones have swappable batteries.
