If your documents are in order then there is really no need to worry. The employer memo you are talking about is about employer - employee relationship. If a worker on H1 visa is working at a client site where his / her employer do not directly control the day to day activity then that person will be denied H1.
In plain terms if you are on staff augmentation project and report to a client manager who controls your day to day assignment and your H1 employer only runs your payroll then there will be issues when you go for stamping with a possibility of your visa getting denied.
I thought that manager control rule is for L1 visa, where consultant must work only at direct client site.

you will see that people that got USCIS I485 receipts, are those whose forms reached USCIS on Jun 25th. That would mean that as of last week USCIS was entering in the cases that came in in the end of Jun. They are not doing July filers yet....
My best bet is that they will begin doing July filers in the middle of next week (7/25) or even later and we will start seeing checks cleared by that date....

Thanks NikNikon for the advice. I shoot everything from inside the arena so I can move between events to get the best position. Right know the strobes are out of my budget. Thanks MatsP also for your input. After your comments and talking with someone from Showcase here in Atlanta I feel much better :) about what I ended up with. This must be one of the toughest shooting environments you can come across. Do you think a bracket mounted flash would help any with the red eye? Also after 2200+ photos I am trying to learn to batch process pictures with photoshop. I am really please with how the unsharp mask helps the noise from the higher ISO. Any suggestions on batch processing tips to enhance sharpness, reduce noice and adjust levels & color are welcome. I have used photoshop for years in my printing trade but never learned it's full potential for use with photography. Also are any of you using Nikon's Picture Project? Particularly the D-lighting adjustment?

She should enter in the US on H4, for which you will need to keep your H1 valid at least until the time of her entry.
Correction: He has to maintain the H1 even after his wife enters the USA in H4 status. If he looses H1B status by any means, his wife's H4 is invalid and she will be out of status. So, he has to maintain H1B status until his wife files AOS/485.

The DOS bulletin update under section D as if nothing has happened and they say "Visa Bulletin #108 (dated July 2) is hereby withdrawn."..in a very simple way...

My wife's H1 got approved & it is valid from October Ist. When she went to Social Security Office today 9/30 - they denied saying they can't pull up her information in their system (from INS) & hence they can't issue the SSN.
She was carrying her I-797 approval (along with I-94).
Anyone else faced a similar situation ? Any suggestions.

Greencard fever -why take so much pain with your gc when you plan to rellocate to india/currently its even hard to predict when can one receive the gc. One can always visit US on tourist visa which is the most easy part. My opinion is only if one does not want to settle in US -

Recently(July 12th 2009) travelled from Hyd to JFK via Dubai on AP. No problems with the airlines. Had to clear the secondary inspection at JFK airport ala Shahrukh Khan...;)
Note, was using my AP for the 2nd time within an year travelling from India.
I just came back this afternoon (1:30 PM EST) via Dubai...Atlanta..from Chennai.. Just showed AP document and passport.. no questions asked...
Airline just verified AP at Chennai and Dubai to ensure I travel with valid documentation to USA.
sanjay02: Dependents may need to produce Primary Applicant's 485 receipt just incase they ask.. Not sure if it really matters as there is no primary or dependent on AP document mentioned.

Well every website i've went to thats fully made in silverlight runs at a crawl in firefox, and plus it just seems like a flash copy minus the good parts, and tacking on some lame stuff that i don't like :)
